TERMS & CONDITIONS
(ALSO FORMING PART OF THE ORDER FORM AND CONFIRMATION)
This agreement shall come into force upon the signing of the form that contains the Terms and Conditions as set out below.
1) Confirmation of Booking
a) Bookings must be confirmed in writing by post or email by you, the Client. At this point you agree to these terms and conditions.
b) For weddings and private functions a non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure The Royale Bakery for your event.
2) Cancellation Charges
a) In the event of a reservation having been confirmed in writing and then cancelled in writing, your deposit will be retained and the following charges will be incurred, based on the latest numbers of guests at the agreed price per head + VAT.
- Cancellation received within 60 working days of event – loss of deposit only
- Cancellation received within 30 working days of event – 50% of invoice
- Cancellation received within 10 working days of event – 100% of invoice
b) Any costs incurred by The Royale Bakery in preparation of the event up until the time of cancellation will be charged to the Client. This is to cover any losses caused to The Royale Bakery for administration costs, supplies etc. and will be discussed in full in event of cancellation.
c) The Royale Bakery may cancel the booking:-
(i) If the client becomes insolvent, bankrupt, has a receiver appointed or enters into a liquidation, bankruptcy, administration or receivership or compounds with its creditors.
(ii) If the client is in arrears of any payment due however arising to The Royale Bakery, or has failed to pay a deposit within 7 days, of the date required to do so, or failed to make the final payment, under the terms of this agreement.
(iii) On giving notice to the customer if it is prevented or hindered from carrying out its obligations herein, by circumstances beyond its own control including, without limitation, strikes, labour disputes, whether or not involving the employees of The Royale Bakery, suspension of supplies, governmental or quasi-governmental intervention, accidents, acts of god or national or local disasters.
a) Final guest numbers, timings, and order changes including any special requirements must be confirmed to The Royale Bakery no later than 15 working days prior to the event. The details provided at this point will be used to produce your invoice.
b) Payment of the Clients invoice must be received in full 10 working days before the event. Should The Royale Bakery be advised of any changes to event requirements (including the reduction of guest numbers) at a date less than 15 working days prior to the event, The Royale Bakery reserve the right to accept these changes and reduce our invoice value, however should increases occur due to additions once full payment has been received The Royale Bakery will raise an additional invoice following the event, due for immediate settlement by the Client.
c) When balance accounts are not settled within 15 working days of the event, interest will be payable thereon until the date of payment at the rate of 8% every 15 working days thereafter. The Client agrees to indemnity The Royale Bakery all the costs of collection of outstanding accounts, including court fees, solicitors charges that may be incurred.
4) Variations to the Price
a) All prices quoted or listed by The Royale Bakery are based on the prices ruling at the time of quotation and do not constitute an order. Prices may be subject to adjustment prior to the service being provided to cover any increase in such price or in taxation or duty or increase in the cost of labour or in the event of the booking being reduced in duration or number of persons attending. All such quoted prices are exclusive of Value Added Tax.
5) Clients’ use of The Royale Bakery’s Property
a) The Client shall pay for any loss or damage to any equipment, crockery, cutlery or glassware which are caused by the Client or his/her guests. The Royale Bakery will not be held responsible for theft, lost or damage to any article brought onto premises.
a) Journeys over 30 miles round trip will carry an additional charge of £1.00 per mile.
7) Health and Safety
a) The Royale Bakery recommend that all high risk food items (fresh cream products or any other dairy produce that requires refrigeration) be consumed within 2 hours of service, especially during summertime or where there are warm ambient temperatures.
b) Orders that require refrigeration, have to be done so by you the Client upon collection or delivery of the order.
8) Liability of The Royale Bakery
a) It is solely your responsibility as the Client to ensure that your order meets the dietary and/or allergy requirements of you and your guests. The Royale Bakery will not be held responsible or liable under any claim for any mistake or error resulting from any orders made by The Client.
9) Force Majeure
a) The Royale Bakery shall incur no liability to the Client if performance of the contract is prevented or hindered by any case whatsoever beyond The Royale Bakery’s control and in particular but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, by act of fire, flood, subsidence, sabotage, accident, strike, or lock out and shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting there from suffered by the Client.
The Royale Bakery reserve the right to change our Terms and Conditions when necessary due to the continual evolving nature of our business. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are up to date with our Terms and Conditions.
(a) We value your privacy and will not share your information with any other company for marketing or any other purpose.

13) Governing Law and Venue
a) Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. You hereby submit to and agree that the sole jurisdiction and venue for any actions that may arise under or in relation to the subject matter hereof shall be the English courts.
